Gabriela Hernandez Duran
The Tuality Healthcare Foundation is proud to award scholarships to high school graduates pursuing health-related careers.
Gabriela Hernandez Duran, a Liberty High School graduate, is the recipient of the Dr. Marvin J. Robb Memorial Scholarship. Gabriela will be attending the University of Portland where she will major in nursing.
Gabriela has volunteered at the Tuality Healthcare Family Birth Unit, assisted with elementary school hearing screenings and middle school student hands-only CPR instruction for the Hillsboro School District, and taught Liberty High School health classes about unhealthy and abusive relationships. She was also an intern with the OHSU CURE program where she performed research on the hematologic cancer, Multiple Myeloma, which has led to her wanting to pursue the path of becoming a clinical research nurse.
In addition to her health-focused pursuits, Gabriela is a member of the Liberty High School Belles Varsity Dance Team, a member of the Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA), part of the Liberty High School National Honor’s Society, and a participant in Hillsboro Empowers Youth (HEY).
