A lively toast was heard from downtown Hillsboro on January 29 as local residents and business leaders gathered for a pink-themed celebration of Tuality Healthcare’s new Breast Health Center.
Nearly 200 people came together for a festive Saturday night at the 26th Annual Tuality Healthcare Foundation Dinner Dance. Attendees and sponsors contributed more than $60,000 for the fundraising gala, held at the Tuality Health Education Center.
“It was a terrific celebration and a time to show our deepest appreciation for everyone’s support in helping us reach our $1.1 million goal to bring digital mammography to Tuality,” said Cece Clitheroe, director, Tuality Healthcare Foundation. “We also took the opportunity to build enthusiasm and momentum as the campaign continues in support of the new Breast Health Center.”
To be opened later this year, the center will house the new digital mammography technology, and all of the care and support functions currently provided by Tuality’s Breast Health Services. It will be located on the third floor of Tuality 7th Ave. Medical Plaza in Hillsboro.
In addition to supporting the Breast Health Center, funds raised through the Dinner Dance and other events help the Tuality Healthcare Foundation’s mission of supporting medical and educational projects and programs to benefit the health of people in western Washington County.
“We are so grateful to donors and other supporters from throughout our local communities whose generosity continues to strengthen our programs and services,” said Clitheroe.
Dinner Dance attendees enjoyed the celebration as volunteer students from Century High School ably handled the server duties. Portland’s own Jake’s Catering furnished the delicious food while the always entertaining “Swingline Cubs” kept the crowd on its feet with a variety of dance tunes.
