Life-saving Mammography – Delivered!
Thanks to generous donors, a brand new $ 1 million state-of-the-art mobile mammography coach was put into service in April 2021.
More than 2,000 lifesaving screenings have been provided reaching underserved women throughout nine counties.
Breast cancer is the most common type of cancer for American women, with 1 in 8 females developing it in her lifetime. It’s also the second leading cause of cancer deaths.
Mammograms save lives by finding breast cancer early, which significantly reduces the risk of dying. Yet underserved women in rural and coastal communities face cultural, financial and transportation barriers to getting mammograms.
