The Tuality Healthcare Foundation’s 31st annual Dinner Dance, Hillsboro’s traditional winter gala, raised over $85,000 to fund medical and health education projects that improve health care for the greater Hillsboro community.
The theme of the event, held Saturday night, Jan. 23 at the Tuality Health Education Center, was Adventures in Wonderland, a play on the popular Disney movie and the book by Lewis Carroll. In addition to formal wear, many guests arrived in creative attire, including the Mad Hatter and a group of four Aces, the bodyguards for the evil Queen of Hearts.
The evening gala included a presentation by Tuality President and CEO Manny Berman and OHSU Partners CEO Peter Rapp regarding the pending affiliation between the two health care organizations. Their collective message is the affiliation agreement will be signed soon and Washington County residents will benefit greatly from better healthcare provided by the affiliated organizations.
The event also inducted five Tuality Healthcare Foundation Board of Directors emeritus members: Debbie Clarke, Bob Terry, Sue Horton, Gene Zurbrugg, and Adrianne Peterson.
“We are extremely grateful to these board members for their many years of service,” said Foundation Director Cece Clitheroe.
Close to 200 attendees dined on great food created by Eat Your Heart Out Catering and Chef Monica Grinnell. Following dinner, attendees danced to the music of DesignBand, a top Portland band that plays classic hits.
Proceeds from the event will fund many worthwhile educational and medical programs at Tuality Healthcare. Clitheroe wanted to thank all of this year’s sponsors, including:
- Title Sponsor, OHSU
- Platinum Sponsors, Anesthesia Associates Northwest, Frontier Communications, Keating Jones Hughes, P.C., and Rosenbaum Financial
- Gold Sponsors, Columbia Bank, Fordham Goodfellow, LLP, and Milliman
- Silver Sponsors, Cerner Corporation, Horizon Health Corporation, Metro West Ambulance, Pacific University, Sound Physicians, and TEAMHealth Emergency Medicine Northwest Division
